We were very pleased to have provided cost control services for the building of Sir Cameron Macintosh's new house on the banks of Loch Nevis. There is no access at all by road and all the labour and materials all had to be transported to the site by sea from Mallaig. The walls are constructed using the innovative  Beco Wallform polystyrene permanent insulated formwork system with the outer skin formed from stone found on the shoreline. The house's name "Torr-An-Albanaich" means "knoll (hill) of the Scotsman". Costing and controlling such a project has been quite a "challenge", solved by the use of an innovative procurement solution!.
