YOGA - LEARN THE ART OF RELAXATION

Yoga is a mixture of ancient and modern techniques that focus on the development of the individual as a complete being, using physical movement as well as effective methods of self transformation. It works to activate the subtle body utilising techniques such as postures, visualisation, breath work, positive affirmations and mudras (hand gestures) in powerful combination. Learn to activate your body's own relaxation response and natural healing capacity.

It gives you the power to live from the heart, Through Yoga you will learn to:

bulletDirect energy through special sequences
bulletUse holistic principles and therapies in daily life
bulletBuild a package of tools and techniques to meet life's challenges

Annual Charity Therapy Evening

The 2012 Charity Event  was our most successful ever as we raised £408.56! The evening started with mini therapies including Reiki, Indian Head Massage, Facials, Nail manicures & On site Massage..... There was a raffle + auction of therapy vouchers plus teas, coffee & home baking. Thanks to all that supported the evening

Every year the yoga class members decide what charity we will support. In 2012 we supported West Lothian Woman's Aid and Linda handed over a cheque for £408.56 .

In 2012 We supported West Lothian Woman's Aid      + in 2011 Lodge St John's 275th Anniversary fund

In 2011 we decided to help celebrate our ‘landlords’ Lodge St John’s 275th anniversary year we gave our proceeds (£406.00) to them to include in their fundraising total. Lodge St John have dedicated 2011 as the year they ‘Celebrate by Helping Others’ They are sharing their funds raised equally between the West Lothian Children’s Panel & West Lothian Young Carers.

In total in we have now raised more than £2,000 for local charities such as The Yellow Teapot Club, River Kids, St Columba’s Hospice, Leukaemia Research, Florence’s Pet Search (twice) and St Andrew’s Hospice.

We like to support local charities and the class members choose each year who we will support. Every penny taken on the evening goes directly to the chosen cause.

I’m a tree, I’m a walking tree
I am a walking tree
with my feet on the ground
and my head in the sky
As our hearts join together
Heaven and Earth in me.

With thanks to Chris Mcfarlane for the idea and the
words and is dedicated to all in the class
