So
What is Reiki ?
"Reiki"
is a Japanese word pronounced Ray-Key, and means Universal
Life Force, or Universally Guided Energy. It is a simple
system of healing carried out by placing hands on, or
holding hands above the clients fully
clothed body.
Reiki
is thought to have been practiced for thousands of years,
is learned through information being passed from master to pupil in a
series of teachings. Reiki can heal on all levels,
physically, mentally and spiritually and Reiki supports the
body's natural ability to balance and heal itself. Reiki
will self adjust according to your own needs. Reiki
assists in cleansing the body from toxins and frees
blocked
energy promoting a state of relaxation, and vitalising the
body and mind.

What
are Life Forces?
The knowledge
that an unseen energy flows through all living things and
is connected directly to the quality of health has been
part of the wisdom of many cultures since ancient times.
The existence of this "life force energy" has
been verified by scientific experiments, doctors are also
examining the role it plays in the
functioning of the immune system and the healing process.
Infinite and
unconditional, Reiki is the energy of all life, guided by
the wisdom of the universe.
Reiki is a
technique for stress reduction and relaxation that allows
everyone to tap into an unlimited supply of "life
force energy" to improve health and enhance the
quality of life.
An amazingly
simple technique to learn, the ability to use Reiki is not
taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the
student by the Reiki Master. Its use is not dependent on
ones intellectual capacity or spiritual development and,
therefore, is available to everyone. It has been
successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and
backgrounds.

What
does the treatment feel like?
Perhaps during
the treatment you will feel tingly, or see beautiful
colours and feel relaxed. After the session you may feel
either sleepy or re-vitalised. Perhaps the pain in your
knee or back will still be there. Remember, Reiki works
holistically on the whole person.

How
do I prepare?

which have been released from the tissues into the
organs of the body which deal with toxin removal. |

as this may cause a feeling of nausea, instead, eat
sparingly perhaps fruit, rice and vegetables and allow
your body to rest and use its energy on cleansing and
healing rather than on digesting food. |

for 24 hours after session and avoid smoking (or cut
down) |
